On an ordinary day, comparing me to Brian McLaren would be fightin’ words.
But, despite his favorable comparison of my Kingdom views to those of McLaren, I am grateful to New Testament scholar Scot McKnight for his thoughtful review of my book The Kingdom of Christ this week on his site “Jesus Creed.” McKnight and I have tangled a bit about the emerging church, Brian McLaren, and Johnny Cash. His review of my book is kind, irenic, and generous.
