Thank you for this post, Dr. Moore.

As I read your comments concerning Senator Edwards' little girl I could not help but be drawn to thoughts of my own adopted daughter. I have seen the pain in her eyes as she asks who her "real" father was. This has left a whole in her heart that I have not been able to fill.

My son, also adopted, knows his biological father. However, he feels the rejection of knowing that his biological father did not want to act as a father ought.

It has fallen to me to attempt to show these two deeply hurt children a small picture of thier heavenly Father's love for them. I know that I am an imperfect father (much as my own was), but it is my prayer that these two will find the complete joy of knowing and being known by my Father in heaven

Thank you Sir. I found this from the World magazine link on their blog page. I think if truth be known a legion of problems are un-solvable by govt at any level when we unleash an epidemic of fahterlessness. David Blankenhorn even penned a book examing that crisis.
I'm grateful for the many witnesses who've reminded me of my status as husband and father. As Dr Laura has said "I am my kids' Dad!" and proud to proclaim it to one and all.
I pray for Edwards and his family just as I pray for Gov Sanford and his. Each man's selfishness has hurt so many.
I'm reminded that choosing sin will always take you further than you ever wanted to go and make you pay far more than you ever wanted to pay.
