Dear Russell, Maria and Family:
Maria, We wish you a very happy Blessed Birthday.
After reading the story of Dr. Russell and your beginnings of life together, was very touching and rewarding. I do wish many men as well as women read this article, it could change a lot of marriages to a better marriage, it could make a family that would want to comit more of themselves to our Lord.
Dr. Russell, Your parents speak very highly of you boys and your wives, and are very proud grandparents wishing they could live close to each one of you so they could enjoy their pride and joy, Grandchildren.

As a SBTS wife I want to thank you for teaching young husbands how to cherish their wives. Marriage is such an amazing way to sanctify us and teach us about God’s attributes. I know Maria, she is a P.31 and you are indeed a blessed man. : )

That is a wonderful tribute to your wife. My wife’s birthday is toward the end of this month. The most wonderful blessing in my life after the gift of salvation in Jesus is my wife who is selfless in every way toward me and our children. I don’t think we as husbands and fathers can ever praise and “brag” on our wives enough.

Dr. Moore, thank you so much for this heartfelt article written to glorify God and honor your wife. I, like your sons, have grown up “in a culture of women pictured as having value based simply on what men think of them, for their sexual attractiveness or sexual availability or their earning power or the sheer force of their wills.” It is a blessing to read articles like this and be able to refocus on God’s design for godly women. I’ve never met Mrs. Moore, but accounts of her graciousness and gentle spirit abound (at least throughout HBC!). Thanks again and a very happy birthday to your wife!
