I pray for it regularly, but I also see the condition of, what we call the church, its the same thing that I call Christendom. I make the distinction because there is a difference. Just like in the time of Jesus there were legit Jews that sought God, but also Pharisees that rejected the truth of Gods law to bring people into subjection to their religion. If you think God abides in your religion you are deceived, true salvation only abides in Jesus Christ. No matter what religious title you call yourself if you reject Jesus you are doomed. What does Revival Look like? I think the next revival will be “Come out from among her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4) Those that will be revived will heed the call those that will not will stay in their religious entities and be doomed. It doesn’t matter what party you belong to – as a Christian, you shouldn’t agree wholeheartedly with everything that falls in line with a certain political ideology or agenda when it doesn’t coincide with the teachings of the Bible. Saying you are a “Dittohead” on the radio might make you feel good and makes you fit in with a larger group of people who share your views, but don’t stop thinking for yourselves. Getting Hannity’s acceptance with a – “You’re a great American” while the song “Independence Day” plays in the background is fine and dandy, but let’s not forget that the guy is getting paid to keep you “fired up”. He’s getting paid more in one year that you will probably see in your lifetime. I’m not against him making a living, but that’s something we should keep in the back of our minds. Too often, and for too long, American “Christianity” has been a political agenda in search of a gospel useful enough to accommodate it.
