I’m suddenly glad that I took you for Systematic Theology and not Ethics, Dr. Moore. Trying to keep all of the variables in my head to just understand the question would be vexing. Beyond that, learning to think logically about complex ethical dilemmas is, for many of us, a lost art. I pray your students have learned their lessons well.

It’s a very vivid bunch of scenarios here, but you lost me at “Public school is now compulsory all over the country”, with homeschooling having been theoretically having been outlawed? I think for that to happen, there’s a gap in the narrative where you forget to mention the massive civil war erupting over something like that (likely helmed by Doug Phillips.)

However, the overall direction of a more Muslim America in your scenario seems fairly realistic (primarily with the declining demographics of families both secular and Christian.) I think this isn’t too far from possibility.
