[...] The Evangelical Uneasy Conscience Faces the Future Moore to the Point, Russell Moore It’s a little book by a dead man from the last generation, and it just might be the road-map for the future of American Christianity. I’m referring to the late theologian Carl F. H. Henry’s 1947 book “The Uneasy Conscience of Modern Fundamentalism.” This slim little paperback’s importance might not seem obvious in a digital whirling world of contemporary Christians, but the issues Henry raised over sixty years ago are more relevant than ever.
In several places the phrase is used, "the Gospel of the Kingdom" - if read as an objective genitive, this means, "the Gospel [good news] that the Kingdom proclaims ". If we look at Mark chapter 1, we see what the Kingdom involves: the forgiveness of sin ("repent and believe the Good News"), but it also includes healing and the casting out of evil spirits.

What might help is if we use the word "Gospel" to mean specifically the core of Jesus' atoning work and forgiveness of sin; but then also acknowledge that the Kingdom extends to more than that, including sanctification. pushing back the evil one generally, and social justice (in that order?)
