Beyond Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole

I really appreciate the worship music produced of late by Sojourn Community Church here in Louisville. Their song, “We Are Listening” from the album “Before the Throne” is in my top ten songs listened to, according to the counter on my iPod (numbers 1-9 are a different story altogether).

The Sojourn folks have put forth a really good collection of Advent and Christmas music. You can download Advent Songs for free or as a pay-what-you-want at www.noisetrade.com or through the Sojourn Music website.

    Dr. Moore, have you ever heard Andrew Peterson’s “Behold the Lamb”? It’s the Christmas story put to music, starting with passover and going through the exile all the way to the birth of Christ and the cross. He does this in ten songs, amazing! Just wanted to make sure you had heard it, if you like the folk sound it’s right up your alley.
