No Sex Please; We’re Anglican

Tweet Share

Okay, okay, okay. Some of my Anglican brothers are going to have to help the Southern Baptist out on this one. I’m referring, of course, to the Times of London piece on the Rowan Williams initiative to allow homosexual clergy to “marry” as long as they don’t have sex. I initally thought this was a parody piece from the back page of the Weekly Standard.

If this is where contemporary Church of England theology is going, I am beginning to understand the Royal Family much, much better.

Only when we see how lost we are, we can find our way again. Only when we bury what’s dead can we experience life again. Only when we lose our religion can we be amazed by grace again.
