One Thing You Missed: The Phenomenon of Death

Tweet Share

Week of August 16

Are we thinking differently about death? It seems so. In this week’s episode of One Thing You Missed, I talk about our shifting attitudes towards death, burials at Disney World, and the advent of death cafes. Humanity has a natural aversion to death, not only because death is scary or represents the unknown, but because death is unnatural. This is why Christians must stand ready with the good news that promises eternal life.

Only when we see how lost we are, we can find our way again. Only when we bury what’s dead can we experience life again. Only when we lose our religion can we be amazed by grace again.
