On the Issues: Conscience

What do Christians believe about the conscience? Is it a reliable guide for us in making moral decisions? I’m asked these questions all the time. I think that’s because there are a lot of misunderstandings and false assumptions about what the conscience is and how it works. Every person has a conscience, and it plays a central role in the way we live our daily lives. In this video, I try to explain what the Bible says about the conscience and how God intends for it to function.

Only when we see how lost we are, we can find our way again. Only when we bury what’s dead can we experience life again. Only when we lose our religion can we be amazed by grace again.
